About Kelly

Kelly Diedring Harris has chosen a wild career – literally! Pursuing her passion for wildlife, Kelly began her career as an environmental educator and public spokesperson for Busch Gardens' animal and wildlife ambassador programs. During this time, Kelly competed and won Animal Planet’s first reality series, King of the Jungle (feel free to call her Queen)! Her prize was to film a wildlife documentary on location in Kenya’s Masai Mara about the Great Migration of the Wildebeest.

After such a phenomenal experience, Kelly quickly realized a second passion – communications, so she went on to further her education. After completing her Masters Degree in Mass Communications, Kelly began working in public relations full-time -- first representing clients whose focus was on environmental conservation and preservation, and then focusing on the pet industry representing clients whose goal is to better the lives of pets and their people.

Kelly recently branched out on her own and formed KDH Communications, LLC -- a full service communications company. Kelly's goals for her company include the continued pursuit of her passions: conservation, education, communication and public relations for clients, companies and organizations with causes that preserve, protect and provide.

Kelly is an experienced public speaker, host and spokesperson who appears regularly on national television to discuss environmental and wildlife related issues and the importance of conserving this planet's natural resources. Kelly appears monthly as Daytime’s Queen of the Jungle and also represents products on the Home Shopping Network (HSN).

Kelly is passionate about preserving and improving all aspects of our natural environment for future generations. She feels strongly that all creatures deserve their rightful and natural space and must be treated with dignity. In light of this, she takes every opportunity to promote environmental, animal and conservation-related causes to help non-profits accomplish their goals and help those without a voice of their own - animals and wild places.

Kelly is DART certified (Disaster Animal Relief Team) and does everything she can to help non-profits that may not be able to afford traditional publicity. Here are some examples of Kelly’s pro-bono work:
